WINE REVIEW #3: Bodegas Ateca Atteca Old Vines 2013

It is often said that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover, and likewise you shouldn't necessarily judge a wine by its bottle. Luckily, in the case of this delicious Spanish wine, the adage proved to be very incorrect. I only bought this in the store because of how much I liked the bottle, and I was pleasantly surprised by just how delicious the contents were. Made of Garnacha grapes, this is a dry, velvety wine, with strong berry notes and a nice smokiness. I could easily see this becoming one of my favorites and eagerly look forward to having another bottle. GRADE: A+
